Gordon Setter

The Gordon Setter is the largest and heaviest of the three setter breeds, a Scottish gun dog with a stunning coal-black coat with rich tan markings and luxurious silky feathering on the ears, chest, underbelly, and legs. The feathering is the primary grooming challenge — it tangles readily and mats if not brushed several times per week. The Gordon Setter's dramatic coloring is self-maintaining and requires no color products, but the coat demands considerable time investment.
