Do rabbits need scent gland cleaning?

Yes. Rabbits have scent glands on either side of the genital area that produce a waxy buildup. Check monthly and gently clean with a damp cotton pad. Uncleaned buildup causes odor, skin irritation, and can attract flies in warm weather — a flystrike risk.
