Should I clip my bird's wings?

Wing clipping is a personal and safety decision. Indoor companion birds often receive a light trim of 4–6 primary feathers on one wing to prevent escape through open windows. Never clip blood feathers. Recheck after every molt. Consult an avian vet for the first trim to learn proper technique.
