The Devon Rex is an elfin-faced cat with enormous ears, a pixie-like expression, and a uniquely short, wavy coat that results from a genetic mutation affecting the hair structure. Unlike most cats, the Devon Rex coat is extremely delicate — the fragile, fine curls break easily with over-brushing. Very low shedding and almost no dander make them popular with allergy sufferers.

Always maintained in its natural wavy state — the fragile curls should never be brushed or clippered as this breaks the delicate hair shafts.
A careful hygiene trim using scissors (not a slicker brush) around the hindquarters if needed.
